pluridata

We study data and knowledge infrastructures as sites of power, justice and transformation.

About us

We are independent researchers who are deeply curious about how data and knowledge infrastructures shape and transform our lives.

Inspired by the possibilities of a pluriverse, we believe that many knowledges and ways of thinking can coexist, and should be represented in the data, technologies, and systems we build.

Every data point tells a story. Approaching data from a plurality of sources and perspectives is what allows us to make sense of the world.

What we do

Drawing on our combined expertise across disciplines and research methods, we study data and knowledge infrastructures from multiple angles; asking who they serve, who they leave out, and how they could be built differently.

Together, we produce interdisciplinary and mixed methods research to deepen our understanding of data-driven systems and generate evidence that informs decisions, policies, and practices.
